LILY LIU
Founder & Editor-in-Chief
Lily is a senior at Phillips Academy Andover. She hails from Beijing, China, but currently resides in the suburbs of Boston, MA. An alumna of the Iowa Young Writers’ Studio residential program, her work has been nationally recognized by the Alliance for Young Artists & Writers as well as the John Locke Writing Competition across genres including creative nonfiction, poetry, dramatic script, memoir, and science fiction. Besides writing, Lily is interested in music and entrepreneurship.

CATE CUMMINGS
Founder & Editor-in-Chief
Cate is a senior residing in Los Angeles CA and a student at Phillips Academy Andover. With a deep passion for writing and global affairs, she has served as the Politics Section Editor for The Revere, the school’s foreign affairs newspaper. She is also an alumna of the Washington Journalism and Media Conference, where she conducted personal interviews with the offices of Rep. Ted Lieu and Rep. Seth Moulton. Cate is also a proud student athlete and musician.

CHLOE CHEN
Layout & Editor-in-Chief
Chloe is a senior at Episcopal High School from all over the world. She writes primarily for her Substack and went to the Iowa Young Writers' Studio residential camp in 2025. She likes indie video games, crocheting, graphic design, and cats. Chloe is attending Stanford University in the fall and planning to major in something creative.

BEVERLY KIM
Head of Seoul Chapter
Beverly is a senior at Dwight Seoul. Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, she later moved back to South Korea. Her strongest skills include playing sports, graphic design, and other artistic pursuits. While she has long enjoyed reading and writing as a hobby, she had not pursued any special projects in this area until joining the Modern Anthologies team. She is excited and eager to work with the team!

DIKSHA VERMA
Seoul Chapter Editor
Diksha is a student at Dwight School Seoul and a creative storyteller passionate about bringing ideas to life through media and movement. Her interests span directing, videography, photography, design, and dance, as she enjoys blending creativity with technical skill. Having grown up in India and lived in various parts of the world, she has developed a unique perspective that inspires her to connect people through art and ideas. To her, creativity is more than crafting something beautiful—it is about telling a story that resonates. She views her role in the Modern Anthologies team as an exciting opportunity to collaborate, learn, and share work that leaves a lasting impact.

IRENE KIM
Seoul Chapter Editor
Irene is a senior at Dwight School Seoul. Born in Toronto, Canada, she later moved to South Korea before spending half of her life in Irvine, California. She eventually returned to South Korea to complete her remaining high school years. Passionate about writing—particularly creative works such as short stories and poems—she often spends her free time crafting pieces that reflect her imagination. In addition to writing, she is an avid video game and K-pop enthusiast and enjoys playing the violin.
